these ones. The last three were never published in the US but are available through amazon.co.uk, which was pretty exciting to discover as I didn’t know until a year ago that he’d kept writing.
Morvern Callar is one of the best novels ever, and the Sopranos taught me more about writing than can reasonably be expected of a novel. The Worms Can Carry Me To Heaven is a fair departure from the first three, but once I warmed up to it I promptly fell in love with it.
He’s quite good and I recommend his work, is what I’m saying.
